Rules and Participation

Journal Entry: Wed Jan 26, 2011, 11:32 AM

How to Enter

Before entering please familiarize yourself with the rules, guidelines, "about us" page and FAQ so that you are up to date on how this group works. After you have done so feel free to read through the round sheet and start your drawing, Once you are finished your entry upload it to DA and submit it to the correct round#'s gallery for group approval. The approvals are not juried for skill but rather to make sure the submissions meet the requirements. Once it is approved. It is recommended you also fill out the Character Submission Sheet and keep it on hand for speedy sending in case you win. Do not submit it unless you have won.

Please place somewhere in your submitted deviation that it is a club submission and credit to the owner of the character (example: PaperChainProject submission, round 5. Character (c) deviant.) Though any clear wording is fine.

Entrants are given 30 days to submit.

Round Winner Guidelines and Rules

If you are a round winner you will need to submit your character submission sheet so that we may post it. It is not mandatory to request your own character. You may request an established TV show/comic character/etc if you wish. If you are requesting another artist's/friend's character you must have permission from them to request it. You may choose the winner and runners up of your round based on whatever criteria you wish. It does not necessarily have to be "the best drawn picture wins" type of contest. You can base your choices off of feeling, entertainment, whatever.

It is expected you show some integrity when choosing your winners rather than "I choose my friend because they are my friend". If we feel for whatever reason that your choices show bias towards or against entrants, your choices violate this honor system or corrupted integrity, the group owners reserve the right to vito your choices and/or take whatever action we see fit. This is a fail safe for an extreme situation and has not had to be done so with our club or group in the past.

If for some reason you can not choose one single entry to be the winner, you may choose 3 runner ups in place of 1 winner and 2 runner ups.

The two runner ups are chosen equally, not "second place, third place" but rather "heads and tails" and two must be chosen. If the person the round winner chooses to win doesn't submit their sheet within the 3 day grace period, the next round will go to one of the runner ups instead. The runner up will be chosen by a coin toss (or in the case of 3 runner ups and no winner, a random number generator). If the runner up also fails to provide a submission, then the other runner up will receive the next round.

Round winners are given 4 days to decide on a winner and 2 runner ups. If they do not do so within the 4 day period a winner will be decided by a third party judge (or staff member if they have not entered that round).

Remember, the person who won the previous round may not be chosen as the next final winner. They may however be chosen as a runner up if so desired.
